It\nmight come as a surprise to those who know Roger Jannotta as a jazz musician,\nthat he also composes classical works for the piano. These pieces, however,\nrepresent only a small portion of his musical output, which includes numerous compositions\nand arrangements for both jazz and classical ensembles and orchestras, as well\nas music for theatre, film and television.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Under the label Animato<\/em> the newly released double album contains piano compositions spanning a period of forty years from 1975 (Cantabile)<\/em> to 2015 (Sonata<\/em>). Roger Jannotta has worked together with the pianist Joan Schneider since 1989 when they were involved in a project for the Stuttgart Theatre Academy directed by Dieter Dorn.
